Because Minako bought teriyaki chicken from the food court (c3) immediately after her 2nd purchase at the bookstore (e1) and Usagi purchased either beef sukiyaki or teriyaki chicken (c2), Minako must have gone to the food court 3rd, and Usagi must have purchased beef sukiyaki. Ami (c2), Usagi (c2), Rei (c3), and Minako (c3) all went to the food court, so Makoto did not. Usagi ordered the beef sukiyaki (e4), Rei got a salad (c3), and Minako got teriyaki chicken (c3), so Ami got the rice bowl.

Because Ami did not go to the apparel shop (e5), Makoto to the food court (e4), Minako to the clockery (e2), and Rei to the toystore (e1), Usagi did not go to the bookstore. Because Usagi did not go to the bookstore (e5), Makoto did. Makoto made one stop between the toystore, which was 1st (c1), and the clockery (c1), so she went to the clockery 3rd. Because Makoto went to the toystore 1st (c1), the clockery 3rd (e5), and the apparel store 4th (c4), yet went to the bookstore at some time, Makoto must have gone to the bookstore 2nd.
- Usagi went to the food court 1st (c2), the apparel store 4th (c4), and the toystore before the clockery (c2), so she went to the toystore 2nd and the clockery 3rd. Because the Rei and Makoto bought the wrist watch (c3) and pocket watch (e5), respectively, Ami and Usagi bought the alarm and wall clocks. The alarm clock was bought before the wall clock (c1), Ami went to the clockery 1st (c2), before Usagi went to the food court 1st (c2), and Usagi went to the clockery 3rd (e6), so Ami bought the alarm clock and Usagi the wall clock. Minako and Usagi are the only blonde girls (k), and the shoes were not purchased by a blonde (c1), so neither Minako nor Usagi bought the shoes. Usagi and Makoto bought the shoes and sunglasses (c4), but Usagi did not buy the shoes (e6), so Usagi bought the sunglasses, and Makoto bought the shoes.
- Ami bought the children's book (e3), Minako bought the romance novel (e3), and Makoto bought the magazine (e2), so Rei bought the bookmark. Minako bought either the water gun or the playing cards (c3), and the girl who purchased the t-shirt purchased neither the water gun or the playing cards (c4), so Minako did not buy the t-shirt. Because everyone but Ami went to the apparel store and Usagi bought the sunglasses (e6) and Makoto the shoes (e6), Minako and Rei bought the t-shirt and the skirt. But if Minako and Rei bought the t-shirt and skirt (e7) but Minako did not buy the t-shirt (e7), then Minako must have bought the skirt and Rei the t-shirt. Because the buyer of the skirt did not buy the water gun (e4) and Minako and Ami bought the water gun and the playing cards (c3), Minako bought the playing cards and Ami the water gun.
